Lot Notes

In times defined by overconsumption and speed in all possible ways, ruled by globalization and consumerism, small things, such as photographs and letters, gain powerful affective meaning. In the artwork "Somebody's grandfather", the artist follows the inner connection between the viewer and the stranger in the photograph. Being undefined, as the title suggests, the stranger can become connected with the viewer, transposing himself in the figure of a beloved one.
