Lot Notes

Magdalena Rădulescu was born in 1902 in Râmnicu Vâlcea, Romania. A carnivalesque painter, Rădulescu depicts traditional scenes, weddings, folk dances in an exuberant and intense manner. Having studied in Munich and Paris, she exhibited mostly abroad, in Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Venice, but also in Bucharest.
