Lot Notes

Having graduated Philosophy, Corneliu Baba approached the idioms and image codes of classical painting. Influenced by El Greco, Rembrandt and Goya, Baba depicts using various genres: portrait and self-portrait, still life, harlequins, mad kings. He exhibited in Moscow, Leningrad, Vienna, Bucharest, NY, Tokyo, Berlin, Venice, Prague.
