“Dear God, please give me the strength to live in the world of my dreams." As he himself stated, Octav Grigorescu used art as a means of escaping the painful reality. His works are true visual poems, often featuring ethereal figures that are enshrouded in a surreal, oneiric atmosphere. Although he only lived for 54 years, Octav Grigorescu has produced a vast oeuvre that has only partially been revealed until the present moment.
