Lot Notes

At the core of Geta Brătescu’s art lies a desire to examine the process through which art comes into existence and, implicitly, to reveal its artificiality. Geta Brătescu participated at several editions of the Venice Biennale: the first was in 1960 and the most recent one is this year’s edition. Her works are in the permanent collections of Tate Modern and the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art.
