Additional info:

The Romanian artist is indeed a real chromatic revelation. A great lover of revolutions of every kind, but entirely devoted to those celebrating colour, Mirela Trăistaru paints from love of the sun, nature, feeling, woman and poetry. Her versatility in terms of style, subject and composition is remarkable. Here a non-figurative landscape in the style of Henri Matisse's fauvists, and there a portrait that combines the decorative virtues of Gustav Klimt's paintings with the typographic precision of comic-book heroines. Needless to say, Mirela Trăistaru's paintings are an eclectic carnival. Her favorite themes are the woman, nature, antique cities and an oriental, byzantine kind of exotic. The artist's style is up to date, original and highly feminine. The artist's versatility can be seen even in her plastic preoccupations. Mirela Trăistaru is a painter, but, at the same time, she is a designer and a costume-maker. She has a vast palette of experiments in film making, mural painting and even furniture painting. She is renowned for her collaborations with numerous theaters and well-known designers. She is also one of the first artists in her country to experiment with the expressive potential of body-painting.
