Lot Notes

Sabin Bălașa’s works tempt the viewer to fathom a dreamlike, surreal world. The scenes imagined by the artist often render nymphs and fantastical creatures that seem to be frozen in a mythical time. Bălașa’s works are dominated by the colour blue, which symbolises the infinite. Thus, blue is the colour that interweaves fiction and reality, past and present, life and death.
