Additional info:
"Born in Clermont Ferrand, I started painting with oil at the end of high school following the teaching of Pierre Casalegno. After a quick visit to the School of Fine Arts in Grenoble, I chose to study art history at the Stendhal University of Grenoble while following the course of painter Jean Marie Pirot called Arcabas. With a degree in modern literature, I continued my arts education through pictorial practice and became a professional artist after working as an employee of a banking and trade group for a few years. Influenced by modern realistic painting, I especially favor portraits or scenes that show some form of loneliness or sadness. My characters are often in situations of waiting and dreaming. The representation of light is an essential parameter in each of my paintings, and I continue to search for ways to express it with justness." (Yvan Favre)
