Horea Paștina is a co-founder of Prolog, a group connected with the Orthodox religious revival of the Romanian intellectuals at that time. He is regarded as an “artist of the concrete, of the telluric, of a blooming branch's ethereal petal, of a room's warm interior". Paștina tries to achieve a reception of the invisible in the visible. He seems to suggest that it is this invisible transfiguration of matter that has the power to transform us. In his work, spirituality tends to be defined intuitively through some form of communion and reconciliation with the world rather than intellectually.
